Weather Closings
LANK follows the decisions made by Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) regarding school closings, delayed openings or early closings due to snow or other severe weather conditions. If Fairfax County Public Schools close, so does LANK.When Fairfax County announces a delayed opening of two hours, LANK will have the following schedule:
| AM Session: | 10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. |
| Lunch Bunch: | 12:30 p.m. – 1:25 p.m. |
| PM Session: | 1:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. |
If Fairfax County announces an early closing of two hours or more, LANK’s PM session will be canceled, and the Kindergarten class will leave two hours early at 12:45 p.m. Lunch Bunch will be available for AM children only.
Because some Fairfax County Schools have early closings each Monday, LANK will make an independent decision regarding afternoon sessions on Monday. An e-mail message using LANK’s Yahoo Group will be sent to parents in the event of a Monday early closing. If the weather is questionable on a Monday afternoon, and you cannot check your e-mail, please call the school and let us know what arrangements have been made for your child if the school closes early.
