Preschool Programs
Junior Preschool
Junior preschool is the perfect program for your child's first preschool experience.
Taught by warm, nurturing professionals, the Junior Preschool gives your two year
old a happy and joyful introduction to school filled with stories, music, rhyming,
outside play, art projects, finger paint, play-dough, hugs - all designed to delight
your little person. Two teachers work in each session providing a ratio of 5:1.
This program is for children who will be two years old by September 30th. Your
child may attend for as few as one day a week or a many as three days a week. This is
the only LANK program where children are not required to be toilet-trained.
2 Day
In our 2 Day program, experienced professionals offer your child the full range of
preschool experiences. The curriculum includes helping your child relate to
teachers and peers, to form friendships, share, develop extensive language skills
– both auditory and verbal, refine motor skills through creative art projects, and to
foster a love of school. Music is offered weekly. Learning through play is
emphasized.
The 2 Day program is designed for children who are three years old who may never
have been to school before or for those who prefer a two day weekly program.
Your child must be toilet trained to attend this program.
3 Day
In the 3 Day program curriculum topics are arranged into weekly units with topics
such as community helpers, colors, and shapes. Each unit has accompanying
projects designed to help your child meet curriculum objectives and a wide range
of developmentally appropriate and creative activities are provided. Teachers work
with each child individually to develop fine motor skills and focus on emerging
literacy. Math skills are also explored concentrating on numbers 1-5. Ideally suited
for your three or early four year old, this group also has weekly sessions with our
music specialist.
4 Day
The 4 Day program follows the 3 Day curriculum, with an innovative take on their
fourth day. Choosing a book that follows the weekly theme, activities and projects
are used that reflect in depth study of our units. Various skill sets are stressed
with an emphasis on individualization and creativity. This program is suggested for
three or four year olds with late summer/early fall birthdays who will not be attending
Kindergarten the following year or for those who desire a 4 Day preschool
program. This group has weekly classes with our music specialist and also a
Friday afternoon Gymnastics session.
5 Day
