Spanish

Early exposure to a foreign language has many benefits for young children including improved communication skills, cognitive development, and academic performance as well as a more robust cultural awareness of the world around them. Children who are exposed to a foreign language are more likely to retain key elements of that language and are more likely to retain its native pronunciations later in their language education.

At LANK, Spanish enrichment is introduced to children in the 3 Day, 4 Day and 5 Day classes with weekly Spanish sessions. The Kindergarten program takes Spanish instruction to the next level with two language sessions each week that are coordinated closely with what is happening in the Kindergarten curriculum.

LANK’s Spanish enrichment sessions use repetition as its basis of learning and focuses on specific subjects that the children can identify with such as colors, numbers, shapes, animals, etc.  Books, computer presentations, songs, activities and games are also used to emphasize each topic and are a fun way for the children to learn the Spanish language while also learning more about the Spanish culture and heritage.
